Description

More than just a library, the historic Nicholas P. Sims Library is a Waxahachie institution that has brought information, activities, and entertainment to local residents for over a century.

Sure, you'll find plenty of books for both children and adults at the library, but you'll also find programs for all ages, including the summer reading program for the kids and informative speakers for adults. And for those who are homebound, the Nicholas P. Sims Library Homebound Delivery Program will bring library materials monthly to residents of Waxahachie, Texas, who are unable to leave their homes.

The Teen Lair is for teenagers who've got a penchant for learning new things, and for those in between childhood and adolescence, there's the aptly-named Tween Book Club.

For adults working on their G.E.D or in need of legal forms or exploring their ancestry, the library has plenty of exclusive resources that make it both relevant and essential to local residents.

The library has has free wifi access and PCs for when your mobile phone just isn't up to the task, and it's a perfect fit for homeschoolers and distance-learning students who need an educational outlet for research.

To help reduce the infection risk for staff and patrons during this global pandemic, the library has opted for a curbside pick-up strategy for keeping its resources available. Just call the library and place your items on hold, and drive by later to pick it all up.

Curbside pickup is available 10 a.m. - noon on Tuesday - Friday.
