Positions for a speech language pathologists, counselors, coaches and paraprofessionals are among the job openings.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8506018600647638\"\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8506018600647638\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"7257890953\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The district needs a large pool of <a href=\"https:\/\/waxahachie360.com\/waxahachie-news\/2020\/10\/14\/waxahachie-isd-seeks-substitute-teachers\/\">substitute teachers<\/a>, which requires a high school diploma and 15 hours of college credits or a waiver letter with detailed information on previous work with children in an educational environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Pay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pay for substitutes depends on the education of the employee. Non-certified subs receive $70 per day or about $9 per hour, and certified teachers working as a sub are paid $85 per day, or a little more than $10 per hour. Sub pay climbs to $100 per day for non-certified subs and $150 per day for certified teachers who work in the same class for extended assignments of more than 20 days.
