The collective of wind musicians will perform music that spans generations but has one studio in common.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wind instrument collective Windsync<\/a> is coming to Waxahachie, Texas and will perform music tied to one of the most famous music studios in entertainment history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performance begins at 7:00 p.m. on October 29, 2022 at the S.A.G.U. Hagee Center located at 499 East University Avenue in Waxahachie<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Houston-based wind quintet will perform instrumental interpretations of music from famous musicians and bands that are all connected to Abbey Road Studios<\/a>, the music studio where music legends such as the Beatles and Pink Floyd recorded their albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Windsync foregoes sheet music and music stands to perform their music solely from memory to create a more visually-engaging and intimate connection with their audiences. The quintet performs throughout the world and is a 2022 – 2024 Texas Touring Roster Artist grant recipient from the Texas Commission on the Arts<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waxahachie Symphony Association President Melissa Chapman says the performance includes a “gorgeous” instrumental arrangement of The Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun<\/em> in addition to instrumental adaptations of music that spans generations, from pieces by the late Edward Elgar to the the music of English rock band, Radiohead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“WindSync is a vibrant chamber ensemble performing wind quintet masterworks, adapting beloved music to their instrumentation, and championing new works by today\u2019s composers,” Melissa says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are $20 for adults, and $8 for college students. Attendees under 18 years old are admitted for free. Tickets may be purchased at the Waxahachie Symphony Association Windsync performance registration page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
