{"id":5868,"date":"2020-09-18T11:05:03","date_gmt":"2020-09-18T16:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/waxahachie360.com\/?p=5868"},"modified":"2021-06-10T06:53:06","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T11:53:06","slug":"walmart-raises-pay-for-certain-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/waxahachie360.com\/waxahachie-news\/2020\/09\/18\/walmart-raises-pay-for-certain-employees\/","title":{"rendered":"Walmart raises pay for certain employees"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap wp-block-paragraph\">Days after <a href=\"https:\/\/waxahachie360.com\/hobby-lobby-announces-huge-pay-increase\/\">Hobby Lobby announced a $17 minimum wage<\/a> that applies only to a handful of its employees, Walmart has announced an $18 minimum wage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, it only applies to a fraction of the 1.5 million people who work for Walmart in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To Supercenter employees in so-called team lead roles, Walmart will pay a minimum of $18 &#8211; $21 per hour starting in October.
