The Waxahachie Symphony Association brings a variety of talented musicians to Ellis County each year.
The Waxahachie Symphony Association has announced its schedule for the 2024 – 2025 season, and season tickets are expected to sell out fast.
Fulfilling its mission to bring world-class musicians and inspired performances to Ellis County, the nonprofit cultural organization will begin its season on September 28, 2024 with the first of six concerts that range in style from orchestral and operatic to Jazz and Swing.
“We designed our season for a broad audience,” says Melissa Chapman, president of the W.S.A. “Our classical performances center on a traditional repertoire while our Pops, Christmas, and Jazz concerts feature music that’s recognizable even to those who do not regularly listen to classical music.
“Soprano Christina Major and The Parker Quartet are a few new acts we are welcoming to Waxahachie along with audience favorites, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and The Texas Gypsies. With such a wide variety of programming everyone should be able to find a concert that excites them.”

Season Tickets
Melissa says that season tickets for the Waxahachie Symphony Association sell out fast as each season opens. Season tickets sales for 2024-2025 started September 3, 2024.
Season tickets begin at $50.00 per person, and ticket options allow buyers to select the Christmas concert as an add on at a discounted price from the general admission sales that will take place closer to the performance date.
Melissa says season tickets are a bargain for family oriented entertainment, allowing a family of four, for example, to enjoy admission to six concerts — including the Christmas concert — for less than $9.00 per person.
“Last year was out most successful season ever. We averaged 400 people per show and sold-out season tickets as well as tickets to all three performances by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra,” Melissa says.
About the Waxahachie Symphony Association
The Waxahachie Symphony Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to bring musical and educational programming to Waxahachie and communities throughout Ellis County.
In addition to the concert series that brings world-class musicians to the area at affordable admission prices, the organization hosts a performance by the Fort Worth Symphony Association for all fifth graders in the county and awards $5,000.00 in scholarships each year to support the aspirations of young musicians.
“For the last 47 years, the W.S.A. has brought the Ellis County community together to enjoy beautiful, live orchestral music right here in Waxahachie,” Melissa says. “We look forward to continuing that legacy.”
