With five Halloween attractions in one location, Screams Halloween Theme Park has set itself up as a destination to take in multiple times during the season just to get around to all the scary spectacles which include a zombie apocalypse, a maze of terror, a bootlegger’s bayou, a witchy castle and a confrontation with terrifying clowns that would make Maury Povich proud.

2. Drunken Pumpkin Party

Showbiz Cinemas’ Drunken Pumpkin Party is proof that in recent years, adults in the Waxahachie area have simply not been content to leave Halloween as a children’s occasion and have reclaimed a part of the fun for themselves. The party is billed as pumpkin carving, but better and is all for those 18 years old and older. Prizes will be given out during the evening.

3. Trick or Treat on the Square

October 27, 2022
3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Downtown Waxahachie
Free admission

An event all for the little ones, the Downtown Waxahachie Trick or Treat on the Square is a safe trick-or-treating event for children. Downtown merchants and local business will dole out the candy for all the costumed trick-or-treaters who can roam the square and stock up on the sweet stuff.

4. Reindeer Manor Halloween Park

Weekends in the second half of October
410 Houston School Rd, Red Oak, TX 75154
Tickets start at $30

Reindeer Manor Halloween Park is open for one last year. After the 49-year run of the Red Oak-based Halloween attraction comes to a close, the spectacle that raised the standard for local haunted houses and Halloween events will move. But for now, there’s one last chance to get spooked in the themed events that include ghosts, a street morgue, a dungeon of doom and a bunker of insidious alien technology.

5. Ennis Autumn Daze

October 28 – 20, 2022
Downtown Ennis, Texas
Admission: Free on Friday, $5 – $10 Saturday and Sunday, carnival rides, special activities and food are extra

Ennis Autumn Daze has grown in the last few years from a few hours for trick-or-treaters on Saturdays into what’s now a huge event that draws visitors from throughout the state to hear live music, enjoy a carnival midway, work their way through an elaborate hay maze and see professional pumpkin carvers compete in creating the world’s most awesome jack-o’-lantern. This year’s headliner musical performer is Pat Green.
