Texas Country Reporter Festival cancelled for 2020

Waxahachie loses a major attraction due to COVID-19

In case you’re one of the fans of the Texas Country Reporter and haven’t heard the news, the 2020 TCR Festival has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

The announcement on the TCR website reads: “It saddens us to cancel the 2020 TCR Festival in Waxahachie. Our committee determined that the health risks are too high for our attendees, vendors, and host community of Waxahachie. Next year we will be back!”

For more than a decade each fall, the Texas Country Reporter Festival has drawn thousands of fans of the Texas-based T.V. show to Downtown Waxahachie where they can buy homemade crafts, enjoy state fair quality foods, listen to local Country bands, and meet the show’s host, Bob Phillips.

For vendors who signed up to sell at the event, the program coordinators will offer an online marketplace to help make up for the cancellation and will announce it later.
