BJ’s Wholesale Club is coming to Waxahachie, Texas

Discount grocery chain B.J.’s Wholesale Club is opening in Waxahachie, Texas in 2026.

The Massachusetts-based retailer broke ground in Waxahachie for one of its first four Texas locations on August 6, 2025. Offering discount prices on fresh foods, produce, full-service deli items, fresh bakery goods, household essentials, home décor, pet supplies, toys, tech and more, B.J.’s is a rival to Sam’s Club and Costco.

BJs Wholesale Club groundbreaking in Waxahachie, Texas
Corporate representatives and city leaders broke ground for a new BJ’s Wholesale Club on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in Waxahachie, Texas.

“Waxahachie is a vibrant, growing community, and we’re thrilled to bring unbeatable value and convenience here. Our members save up to 25 percent off grocery store prices every day, and the enthusiasm we’ve seen from the community shows that Waxahachie is a great fit for us,” says Kirk Saville, head of corporate communications at B.J.’s Wholesale Club.

The store will streamline shopping. Members can choose from several options whether shopping online or in-club: curbside pick-up, in-club pick-up, same-day delivery and standard delivery will be available. Members shopping in-club can use ExpressPay through a mobile app to scan products as they shop and skip the checkout line.

The company supports charitable non-profits, and for more than 15 years has partnered with Feeding  America and its network of food banks, providing more than 155 million meals for those in need. In Texas, B.J.’s is partnering with North Texas Food Bank in Grand Prairie, Forney and Waxahachie and Tarrant Area Food Bank in South Fort Worth. Once club doors open next year, regular donations of produce, meat, dairy products and more will be made from each location.

The location in Waxahachie, along with one in Forney, Grand Prairie, and South Fort Worth, will be the first of two dozen or so stores that the company plans to open in Texas in the next two years. Altogether, the company operates 255 clubs and 190 fuel stations in 21 states.

B.J.’s Wholesale Club requires membership for purchasing from the store. Membership cards cost $20.00 for a one-year membership, and a $50.00 annual membership offers additional benefits.
