We’ve got your roundup of things to do for Halloween 2020

Whether you’re looking for some good ol’ trick-or-treating fun for the kids or are planning on a costumed date night, here’s a list of Halloween 2020 events happening in and around Waxahachie.

Trick or Treat on the Square

October 29, 2020, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at participating stores around the Downtown Waxahachie Courthouse Square

An annual Downtown Waxahachie event for the kids, Trick or Treat on the Square gives children a chance to safely enjoy parading around in their costumes as they shake down local Downtown Waxahachie merchants for all the candy they can carry. Social distancing is encouraged, and rules will be suggested on site to keep everyone safe.

Trick or Treat Drive-thru Event

October 31, 2020, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Atlus ER parking lot at 1791 North Hwy. 77 in Waxahachie [map]

Costumed helpers will pass out candy to children as their parents drive slowly and safely through the Altus ER parking lot.

Haunting at the Point

October 24, 2020, 4 p.m. to late.
The Point Event Center, 1511 F.M. 664 in Waxahachie [map]

Haunting at the Point is an outdoor Halloween event with live music from Breaking Bad Co., Thin White Line, 9th St. Band and other cover bands, trunk or treat, a photo booth, face painting, arts and crafts vendors, food and a hay ride.

Entry fee is $20 per car and $10 per bike.

Trunk or Treat Classic Car and Motorcycle Show

October 31, 2020, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Pop’s Burger Stand, 107 South Monroe Street in Waxahachie [map]

Pop’s Burger Stand will host a classic car and motorcycle show with live music and plenty of all-American fare and beer specials during its Trunk or Treat event. Show attendees will also pass out candy for little trick-or-treaters.

Reindeer Manor Halloween Park

Fridays and Saturdays, 8:00 p.m. – midnight through October 31, 2020
410 Houston School Road, in Read Oak [map]

Reindeer Manor Halloween Park presents a drive-through apocalyptic adventure working on the premise of Red Oak, Texas being the site of a military experiment gone wrong. You’re a survivor of a rampant zombie outbreak trying to get the passengers of your car through the chaos to a safe zone.

The cost is $50 per car with up to 8 passengers and $80 with 9 passengers or more. Tickets available at the gate or in advance on the park’s website.

Movie Nights at Galaxy Drive-In Theater

Fridays – Sundays, gates open at 6:00 p.m.,
5301 Interstate 45 in Ennis [map]

Pack the family in the car and head out to Galaxy Drive-In Theater in Ennis for the classic drive-in movie experience. This month, the theater is showing Hocus Pocus, Unhinged, the New Mutants and more.

Tickets start at $4 for children and $8 for adults.

Whiskey ‘N Witches Adult Halloween Party

October 24, 2020, 8:00 p.m. – midnight
Cedar Hill Roller Rink, 202 North Main St. in Cedar Hill [map]

An all-adult Halloween evening, Whiskey ‘N Witches is a BYOB roller skating event with a photo op, deejayed music, costume competition and prizes.

Tickets are $10 per person at the door or $8 each online.

  1. Waxahachie Bible Church is hosting Pumpkin Palooza on October 31st from 2-5 pm! This is a free outdoor family event for the community and we will have Trunk-or-Treat and games for everyone! Everyone can enter a drawing for fantastic prizes including a 40″ TV, a basketball goal, tablet, wireless earbuds, a family game kit and more! Everyone is welcome to wear costumes, just nothing too gory and no weapons (real or pretend).
